From Survival to Purpose

Hi, I’m Barenda Brown, Founder and CEO of GDMJ Solutions LLC.

​

Before I became a business owner, I was a single mother of four doing everything I could to provide for my family. Like so many others, I didn’t have all the answers. I wasn’t taught the importance of building good credit, saving consistently, budgeting wisely, or how the financial decisions we make today shape the opportunities we have tomorrow.

​

I learned many of those lessons through experience. There were times when I struggled, made mistakes, and had to figure things out on my own. Looking back, I often think about how different my journey could have been if someone had simply taken the time to teach me the fundamentals of financial wellness.

​

Instead of allowing those experiences to define me, I allowed them to transform me.

​

As I grew, I made a promise that my children would have the knowledge I didn’t. I taught them the value of saving, living within their means, creating and following a budget, paying bills on time, building healthy financial habits, and understanding that good credit isn’t just about a score—it’s about creating opportunities and choices for their future.

That promise became something much bigger than my own family.

​

It became the foundation of GDMJ Solutions LLC.

​

Today, my passion is helping individuals, families, and business owners create lives that are healthy, balanced, and full of opportunity. Yes, that means improving financial wellness, restoring credit, and helping businesses grow. But it also means encouraging stronger communication, healthier relationships, intentional living, and making time to rest, reset, and reconnect through the power of travel and new experiences.

I believe true success isn’t measured only by what’s in your bank account. It’s reflected in the quality of your relationships, the peace you have at home, the confidence you carry, and the freedom to create memories with the people who matter most.
